Am frühen Mittwochmorgen haben Tierrechtsaktivist*innen in Dovera (Cremona, Italien) über 1200 Nerze aus den Käfigen einer Pelzfarm befreit. Der Farmmetreiber gab an, gegen den Schaden nicht versichert zu sein. Hier die Übersetzung eines Artikels einer Lokalzeitung:
“Around 4 this night an alarm was tripped inside the farm. Over a wide area are housed one thousand cages which hold the animals…. The cages have a simple closure, no locks, as a practical matter. In all likelihood, those who wanted to cause damage to the owner was aware of this fact and did nothing more than enter the farm and open, one after the other, the cages, helping the mink gain freedom. It seems that all this was accomplished in only a few minutes by several people.”
